It's been a very busy year here at Sunrise! I'm thrilled to share that we have another stunning crop of apples nearly ready for harvest. In addition to our upcoming apple harvest, I'm excited to announce that our family-owned Sunrise has acquired Hillcrest Orchard, located about five miles east of Sunrise at the intersection of highways 61 and 171. After thirty-nine years of Hillcrest ownership, Robert Zimpel has decided to retire from the apple business.
The retail location at this intersection will now be known as Sunrise Orchards at Hillcrest. Our goal is to maintain the friendly atmosphere and excellent service Hillcrest is known for while adding a touch of Sunrise's distinctive flavor. This will include our famous apple cider donuts, complimentary cider and other tastings, and a wide variety of apples. We will also continue to offer potatoes, onions, mums, pumpkins, and other beloved items that Hillcrest has featured over the years.
Looking ahead, we have exciting plans for both Sunrise and our new Hillcrest location. In the weeks ahead we’ll be adding more Sunrise Orchards at Hillcrest social media online.
